In April the Trajector Art Fair transformed Hotel BLOOM! into a vibrant boutique hotel art fair! There were 18 hotel rooms, 8 conference rooms and public spaces that were used as exhibition space for art galleries, curators and artists to present some of the best emerging contemporary art to the Brussels audience.

The international exhibitors ranged from very young artists to those already established on the international art circuit.     One we particularly liked here at BLOOM! was ‘the bear with the hat’ by famous Belgian designer Elvis Pompilio, who has his own shop in Brussels, nearby the Sablon. A lot of people from our staff but also guests took a picture with it. They felt like kids in Disneyland!

This event took place in sweet collaboration with Art Brussels, Fashion Museum of Antwerp (MOMU), Diesel, Vitamin Water and Weekend Knack/Le Vif. Thanks guys!

The next Art’n BLOOM! event will take place in September, so keep an eye on the date on www.artnbloom.be !

The KUNSTENFESTIVALDESARTS mixes all nationalities and influences from dance acts to visual arts. Each year this is a real top event you definitely have to discover.

Fresco title: Fairy Tale Ending

Sandrea was part of the pilot group of students that came to Hotel BLOOM! to paint a fresco in May 2007. Sandrea suggested the hotel to come back each time a group of students would come over for a week to paint one of the more than 200 frescos,  as some practical advice of an artist who was there before could be useful.
